Very unprofessional! Have received 2 different e-mails telling me the check will be in the mail. It was a lie

Took 1600.00 for down payment, signed contract that stated I would receive refund if not approved, well 16 days after the 30 days, still no refund after several attempts. I was told the refund is being delayed because of my so called demand, after the 30 day hold. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Have received 2 different e-mails telling me the check will be in the mail. It was a lie. Still have copy of check, and contract. I have been calm and waited for the check after I was told it was going to be mailed in a few days. I never got the check, and when I called, the president of the company would not return my calls. She is the one who has had my account from the beginning. I than e-mailed her, and she said they has been busy with tax season, and would mail the check of soon. It has been ugly ever since, and I know 1600.00 is not alot here, but I will not let them get away with this.
