Wolpoff And Abramson, Cannot ever get a straight answer!

My trouble with Wolpoff and Abramson started in Sept. 2007. They contacted me telling me that they were going to sue me for about 2,000 dollars on behalf of Palisades Collection agency and AT&T for a wireless account that I hadn't had for about 5 years.
Mr. Matthew Hayes (the paralegal I spoke to) told me that I either had to pay all of the money up front or pay in monthly installments, and if I didn't they would put a levy on my bank account and garnish my wages (at the time I did not know that the PA statue of limitations was up and that they were not allowed to touch my wages).

Since I did not have all the money, I set up a payment method. $100 (or more if I could afford it) a month until it was paid off. About 2 months into paying them I realized that only about $25 out of the $100 was going towards the balance due. Where did the other 75 dollars go?

I was paying on time every month up until December. I was three days late with my payment and BAM they entered the default judgement against me without even notifying me. I did not know they entered the judgement until my Fiance' went to take money out for a trip he was going on, that they froze my bank account on January 25. I called my bank and then found out that two levies were placed on my account, one for $1386 and one for $1061.26

I immediatly called Mr. Hayes and he said that according to his computer they only placed the first levy, and that the only way that I could have the levy lifted was to pay 1757.36 right away. Not having the money, I had to go cry to my soon to be mother in law and get her to pay it on her credit card. After that was done I called the bank again to get the name of the persons who placed the second levy and they told me it was the same company.

So I called them again (and of course every idiot I spoke too had no Idea why the second levy was placed on my account) and I asked to speak to Amy Doyle. The idiot then placed me on hold for 5 min and it went back to the beginning of the menu, so i stayed online and spoke to another idiot who then directed me to Mr. Hayes not Amy Doyle. So I hung up and called back and spoke to another person who finally direct me to Ms. Doyle, but of course I just got her voicemail. That was two days ago and still no call back. As of today both levies are lifted, but I still have no clue as to why they put two levies on my account. There is alot more to the story, but I am just too exhausted after dealing with all of this to type it!
