Fraudulent ripoff company

In January of my capital-one credit card was FRADULENTLY charged by Americas Lawline, a company that offers attorney services for a fee. I never had contact with Americas Lawline prior to observing their $97.00 charge on my credit card statement, nor did I authorize any such charge. Upon speaking with a customer representative, I was told that they received my credit card by another company whom I recently ordered a product from over the phone.

They admitted that it was in fact an erroneous charge and agreed to reimburse the entire amount within the next 60 days. After 2 months had passed, I attempted to contact the company concerning my refund and learned that the phone number had been disconnected. I notified capital one about this problem but was told that they could do nothing because the charge was 30 days old and the account has since been closed. They did however give me an alternate number who then provided an address for Americas Lawline.

For the past 18 months, I have sent four certified letters to the address provided concerning this situation but have received no response to date. My attempts to contact Americas Lawline by telephone have futile, as they have disconnected all associated numbers and provide only a PO Box as a means of contacting them. I believe that there are many others who have been ripped off by these crooks and that somethings needs to be done to right this terrible injustice.
