Will never credit fees when supposed...
Cross country bank is a terrible company that should be investigated by the BBB. My first complaint is the customer service. When I first got the card, the # they put on my statement was bogus and disconnected (561-304-0501). It was soon changed to a # with a 304 area code. So I had to call long distance from Ohio just to talk to someone.
When I bought a computer, I was supposed to get MSN Explorer. When I went home it never worked so I cancelled it. 2 months later, MSN was still taking money from my Cross Country Bank account. These were unauthorized transactions since I had cancelled the MSN (which I never even used b/c it didn't work). Because of these transactions, I acquired overlimit fees.
When I explained the situation to Cross Country they refused to credit me even though I hadn't really overdrawn my account. I called MSN back and they said my credit card had to do it they couldn't credit me the fee.
Lastly (for now!), I don't think an overlimit fee should be charged at least the first time for overlimit including finance charges. I have a Capital One Visa and they understand the first time and will credit the overlimit fee back to you.
