Made payments by cashiers check said they never received them they were cashed and we can prove it

We made our payments for jan feb and mar by a personal check and 2 cashiers checks in april we received a notice of foreclosure. My husband talked to them and they said taht they had only received 1 payment they asked for copies of the check and cashiers check we mailed this along with a number that we could be reached 24/7 we heard nothing from them for a week until we got a notice from sirote and permutt law firm that our home for 12 years had been sold on the courthouse steps. We called sirote and permutt and they said to contact the mortgage company.

We called home eq and they said that the copies of the cashiers checks were illegible and that they had tried to contact us the number we told them to to but it was not a working number that was the biggest lie! We were then told to contact the home co in ca and soon after we received a letter saying that our inquiry required further investigation.

We never heard a single word back from them! We have had a ton of people coming to our door offering us up to 5000 to move and in dec we received a letter to vacate our house within 48 hours. Has anyone else had a problem like this because we have contacted an attorney and are very interested
