Tribute Card
Lost my card and never got a replacement, just more and more fees

I lost my card and reported it lost. I was told I had an overlimit fee that needed to be paid before I would recieve a new card. I made the payment for the fee and never recieved the card.

When I called a second time, I was told yet again that I had an overlimit fee and need to pay first. When I explained that I had called several weeks before, the customer service rep said a new bill cycle had begun so I would have to pay the fee. At that time, I asked to have the account closed so I wouldn't continue to accumulate fees each month. I was told I couldn't until I paid the overdue limit fee. I paid the fee yet again and still got no card. I called a third time and heard the same song and dance.

I asked for a supervisor to return my call and he did. He assured me that I could pay the amount I owed and that the card would be closed. I asked for a statement to be sent. When I recieved the statement, it had additional fees added for monthly maintainance and overlimit fees. I called again and explained I would be happy to pay what I owed for purchases but would not pay for extra fees accumulated after I tried to close the account.

Now it is a year later and I still recieve calls and bills. All payment I make which should go towards my balance get eaten up by fees and it is a never ending cycle. Still have an open card, still have not physical card to replace the one I lost a year ago.

I called them again last week to resolve this and was told they would make discontinue adding fees and allow me to pay the current balance only and then close out the card if I would set up an automatic draft. I agreed out of frustration, I just want this card paid off and closed. I just checked online to see if the payment had posted and guess what it had and the fees were added also.
