Almost duped, saved by others that received fraudulent check and reported scheme

I recieved a very real looking check in the mail informing me I had won $36,000.00. The check I had received was written out to me for the amount of $3899.00. The remainder to be sent at a later date, via certified mail.

I read the enclosed letter asking me to contact Scott Brooks, my processing agent, at 1-905-462-1269. This number is located in Ontario, Canada. No answer. An answering machine took my name and contact number.

In the mean time I started doing some web research on this particular company. I googled them and ran across a few complaints through this web-site. Now when this idiot Scott Brooks returns my call I can respond to his scam with all the dissappointment from all who have been mislead by this BULL SHIT scheme. Thanks to all of you that made me aware of the game, you kept me from going through the ridicual at the bank and the deception of my "processing agent"
