Arrow tried too take payments from a checking account I did not authorize

Arrow was collecting a debt I acknowledged I owed and I was paying through their online payment system. Two payments I submitted did go through since I mistakenly entered my info from a new checking account. They then attempted to take the payments from a checking account I had used for earlier payments. This caused me to get charged $60 in fees. Equal too the amount of the payment I was making. It would be one thing if they used an automatic debit system and I had authorized them to use that account until the bill was paid. But no, since you enter the payment information each time you use the system they have basically engaged in fraud. Of course I get no response after multiple letters, calls and faxes, asking them not to even reimburse me for the fees they caused, but to at least credit my account for that amount.

Do yourself a favor, if you owe someone money and they are using Arrow, go straight to your creditor and pay them. That is what I have been doing. There is no reason to go through a collection agency. And don't let them offer to let your make a settlement payment of less than what you owe. That will appear on your credit report and it is much better to pay what you owe in full and ask your creditor to even take the account off your report entirley.

Skip doing any business with the crooks at Arrow.
