First Extended Corportation Contract Rip Off consumer fraud ripoff Dallas

I purchased an extended warrenty with my wife's 2000 Dodge Intriped. 60mo or 70,000 miles. At a price of 1995.00.

Not bad if they would honor the agreement.

At 45,000 miles the cars power streeing started leeking.

I call them on a Saturday and was told because I was more than 40 miles from the selling dealer I could take the car anywhere.

So I did, on Monday morning. Lake Norman Dodge just north of Charlotte NC. After getting the car their and getting the service tech to review the problem, First Service then decided that I had to take the car to the selling dealer, because now, 15miles from home, it was within the 40 mile limit. What a joke.

I ended up paying Lake Norman for their time 64.40 and then driving the car to the selling dealer, 40.6 miles for the repair.

After contacting First Service and trying to get my 64.40 back, they were rude and their customer service sucks. They told me that they use mapquest as their measurement and did not care what my odomitor reading reported.

They refussed to refunded my 64.40 and told me to get over it.

As a result, I will be canceling the remainder of the contract, and taking my business elsewhere.

Which is more than likely what they are planning anyway, considering they have cover the car for only pass 2 month and 10,000 miles, after the factary warrenty expired and will have been paid over 1/2 the value of the contact.

What a scham.

I will be reporting this to the attony general.
