Outrageous fees charged for overdrafts of $5-12. Fees mulitplying many times

Chase bank has been one of the worst banks that I have been involved in over the past 20 years. I have had overdraft protection for any account that I have ever had in any bank and had great success in being able to deal with errors (bank or my own) in resolving issues. I have even had good success with Bank One (now Chase) until the past year. I have been charged over $400 for small overdrafts of approx. $5.00 or even $11.00 - It has been outrageuous what they charge and their inflexibility. It has usually been a timing issue with them allowing items to attempt to access my account. I even had to change checking accounts because of some fraud issues. The worst case of them charging fees was a $6.00 transfer that escalated into over $440 worth of fees and none would be refunded. I have shown proof of bank errors and also talked to several managers over a 3 week period of time for one small amount of $5.60 - they (Chase) would rather lose millions of dollars of investment business from my clients than refund the $fees over the past year. Nothing has worked. I would not recommend anyone to use their services ever. Bank of America was much better to work for any banking purposes. I would also recommend CitiBank or other state banks but NEVER EVER recommend Chase again. I sent hundreds of General contractors to do their business with Chase when I switched from my previous bank - I wish I never would have done that. They are the worst in rip-off scams. I hope this helps many people.
