The climate is changing do not let them win!

It is interesting how a little research, some money invested in a lawyer, paying attention to the news, and wishful thinking will do.

We had already resigned ourselves to losing our home to homeq, we had packed up the house in anticipation of having to move, but a we had also engaged a lawyer to look into things. It turns out Homeq had violated all kinds of laws with their credit reporting, and we were able to file a complaint with the AG of CA. We got our first polite correspondence from Homeq ever 2 weeks later, and now thanks to the real estate climate, they are actually in the mood to negotiate loan modification!

Do not give up, do not give in, they can be fought. I anticipate them offering us a "deal" soon which I will reject if we are not happy. After all, what have we got to lose?
