Tammie Plunkett & Steve McCurley, The Total Connection Tax Scams

On June 16, I was contact by Christie Arlinghaus, Ops. Mgr., IRS, Cincinnati, Ohio informing me that I had taxes that were due and owing from my 2003 tax return, in the amount of $4,793.26 The preparer of my paperwork was Tammie Plunkett (SSN 444-* * (REDACTED FOR SECURITY PURPOSES) & Steve McCurley d/b/a The Total Connection LLC at POB 237, Point, Texas 75472.

I was informed by the IRS that after I had filed my 1040X that my original tax return was incorrect and it was not the one T. Plunkett had provided me when she sent my tax return on-line to the IRS. I found out from the IRS that Ms. Plunkett & Mr. McCurley had fraudulently filed my tax return (on-line) in the amount of $8,559.00 and had put their checking account number on my tax return! The money was transferred to their account at Bank of America in NY and she in turn sent me only $4,850. Of my initial tax return. Mr. McCurley's name was on the account & was in receipt of my 2003 tax return.

This is a deceptive and fraudulent tax practice that needs to be reported and made known to everyone where these people do business. They also do business at POB 264, Pineville, AK 72566. I became suspicious and found that my 2004 tax return that had been prepared by Plunkett & McCurley was also reported to me falsely on paper, but was sent to the IRS with their account on my return, once again, to their bank account in the amount $7079. They deposited in my account only $4,682.

I am requesting restitution for my money in the amount of $6,106.00. I have contacted the IRS to report this blatant fraud by Plunkett and McCurley and was told that I would have to retain legal counsel to recover my funds. It is imperative that these individuals be put out of business as soon as possible so that others do not become victims of this fraud.

Again, I am asking that my money be returned by these individuals d/b/a Tammie Plunkett, Owner and Steve McCurley, Project Supervisor-The Total Connection LLC at POB 237, Point, Texas and POB 264, Pineville, AR.
