Unfair overdraft fees, not allowed to close account, and fees keep coming

After several years chase I came to have a negative balance. I discovered I was being charged 5 dollars a day for this. When I called to tell them that I could not rectify the situation for at least a week, and would rather close my account, they told me that they could not close an account with a negative balance. I would like to sort it all out but by the time I get the funds I will owe even more fees. This cannot be legal. I'm filing a complaint with the FCC. I wonder how many others have this problem. NEVER USE CHASE, especially if you 'plan' on falling on hard times. They do not care, they want you to owe so much money that you never get out of debt.
