Unauthorized billing!

I noticed a charge on my visa bill from a company I had no knowledge out. I called the number listed on my statement. They had my email address that they said I used to join their discount club. But I had NEVER contacted this company for anything. They said they would send me a notice that they have taken the charge off my credit card. I am waiting to see. But how they got my credit card number, I have no idea.
