Tried to collect phony verizon bill of 330.01, which I never owed ripoff

These people sent me a collection letter for a bill I never owed and gave me 30 days to dispute but when I tried to get to their email site it just tried to get my personal info and wouldn't open.
I really don't know what to do next so if you can help me, I would appreciate it. I am a disabled senior citizen and can't afford to hire a lawyer to protect myself.
