Multi-State Settlement ripoff

Well by now I am sure most, if not all, of us have heard about the multi-state settlement and received the minimal amount, mine is only about $300, that we will receive. This is horrible when we are in fore closure or about to be there.

For my situation our house was appraised at $102,000 before we added on our two car garage when really our house was only worth about $75,000 after we added on our garage. We were really messed up because of the mortgage that we received from them. It was OK while we were in the two year fixed period but now that our mortgage has adjusted twice and went up over $200 it is getting very hard to keep up and we are already in the 15 day grace period every month.

We also are stuck in another way because of the inflated appaisal. We took out a 2nd mortgage on the appraisal to put on an attached garage and then we were going to be able to roll the 1st and 2nd mortgages together before too long, or so we thought. Now we have two mortgages that we are stuck in because of one largely inflated appraisal and all we are supposed to get out of it is $300! Now that is a rip off!
