Recurring overlimit charges when credit limit is exceedd

I was issued a credit card by MBNA, which was bought out by Bank of America.

I had made a purchase that exceeded my credit limit (they allowed it to be exceeded by over $2,000 in one purchase!) Now, I am being socked a $39 over limit charge on each statement until the balance is below my credit limit.

I have never heard of such a thing, one time charge yes, be each and every statement?

Anybody else heard of this crap?
