Applied for grant GOT RIPPED OFF $300.00

I got a post card from this company in the mail in April which was several months after Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast and devistated us all down here. I lost the home I was renting and almost all my belongings. I couldn't get any help from FEMA because I had a jerk for a landlord. My two daughters and I had to move in with my mother. I called the number and talked to someone, then did some checking about the company online, it all seemed ligit.

I was to send them a money order for $299.00 plus shipping and handling which made the total over $300.00. They sent me what they called a profile packet which I was to fill out (which I did) and send it back to them and would be contacted by my personal profile case person to help me get a grant of up to $50,000.00, and was reassured that I was gaurenteed to get at least $5,000.00 or my $299.00 would be refunded to me. The profile packet was retured to me unopened 3 months later, I called and called to find out what was going on but there was no answer. I left several messages and also emailed them but that also got me no response.

I just happened to be online tonight looking at some email with a friend who just got an email for a guarenteed grant and I told her about what had happened to me and so i googled the site and found this site. I warn everyone to PLEASE check out any companies that are doing this and then double check them with your local police department. I am a hard working single mother and couldn't afford to lose that kind of money. It's been over a year ago now and my daughters and I are still living with my mother because rent here is too high for me to afford a house on my own.
