Actually a Collection Agency Not a Law Office ripoff

I recieved a letter in the mail with the letterhead stating that it was from the Law Offices of Donald S Burak, informing me of a debt.
I keep a close watch on my personal credit report, and knew that this debt had been taken care of by myself many years ago.

I contacted the "law" office just to see what they said and inquire as to where they received this information.
I immediately realized that this was not a Law Office at all, but was really a collection agency posing as a law firm. They asked for me to pay them, now what law firm tries to take money from you over the phone! None! This is how I knew that this was beginning to be a scam of proportional size.

I refused to give any information, this seemed to infuriate the "man" that I was talking with. He became very loud, and demonstritive, saying that I was going to be presented with legal action. Being an informed consumer, I knew that this was not true, so I just said thank you for your time, and hung up.

I believe this company to be a corrupt collection agency, that searches consumers credit reports for past debt, and tries to "scare" them with this legal letterhead, into presenting personal checking account information to them. This could be a corrupt group of people trying to coax money out of unknowing consumers that think they are cleaning up there credit with this law firm, and to their shock, as the previous report states, the money is gone without trace. Please beware of this "law firm".
