Bait & Switch Ripoff

While I was looking for a good savings rate, I got a pop-up window with a $25 sign up bonus offer from The Apple Bank plus a good rate. Once I signed up and they got my money, they refused to credit the $25 bonus. They claim the offer was only good in January.

I told them that the web banner DID NOT HAVE AN EXPIRATION DATE, and that after filling the online registration process, THE CODE WAS TAKEN BY THE SYSTEM. I was never prompted anything saying the code was invalid or expired. The Apple Bank rep says that they keep the codes valid "for future use" but that they WILL NOT honor it.

This is a typical bait & switch case of false advertising. Their customer support is AWFUL and it was only after three e-mails and a phone call that they responded. Then their representative was quite rude and after putting me on hold several times said that they won't honor any offer.

I will take my money elsewhere and never deal with this banking institution, at this point I do not know if they will even honor the "good rate" I signed up for...
