As a followup to a comment made, I made my payment online at 12 noon June 4. Not that this matters. If you read the other 140 consumer complaintss people have filed against this company, you will notice an obvious pattern around how HSBC scams extra money through late fee assessments Ironically, no one has mentioned the outrageous 30% finance charge and "membership fees" that this company assesses on unpaid balances. Somebody's pockets continue to get FAT from unscrupulous practices.

I have several credit cards through other companies and I have never had this kind of problem with any of them. I am currently in the process of doing a balance transfer so that I can close this chapter, ending with the acceptance of responsibility that I made a very poor decision in signing on with them in the first place.
