Deceptive Pre-Approval Watch Out

I went to this morgage company assuming that it was a qualified company that was recommended by my bank. I entered my information in on the website and was later contacted by a person about pre-approval and that they needed more information regarding my loan application and they said they would need my credit card information to lock the rate in. They said they would hold my rate for 60 days and would send me paperwork that explains all the details. They said if I canceled that I would be charged $350.00 assumimg that they would give me service and that they would be there for me I gave them credit card.

I got the paperwork in the mail that I mostly filled out myself online and it contained signature pages and other info about the loan pre-approval. It included a card that I was to call if I got found a house I was interested in and I called it to get more information and to discuss options about a house I had found. Nobody answered. So much for easy as 1-2-3 that they advertised in the paperwork. I called many times and would get a response that the extention was being used and when the telephone tried to redirect me it would say that 0 is an invalid number and "Goodbye".

I started to get nervous about everything since they had my credit card info. I could not get a hold of them so I did an online check to see if I could find another number and I came to this consumer complaints and other blogs that mentioned bad service and not being able to get their money back. I still can't find the website that I initially was redirected to by my bank and that link has changed also from the bank links. All phone numbere are different also. All of the website and paperwork have limited information no e-mail addresses, weblinks, or other people to call.

I blocked my credit card immediately so I would not have to go through all the dispute resolution that this individual is going through. If they call and try to collect I will have this report on record and I will fight them on it. This is rediculous. They have other info of mine and I wanted it noted that this company either has extremely bad service or it is just not a real company. I had high hopes on buying my first house but so far this really discourages me. Better luck to the rest of you.
