Steals money from you ripoff

So, I sold an old car I had to a gentleman, who paid me mostly in cash, but the last $600.00, he wrote a personal check. Ok, I thought, I 'm holding the title, and when I get my money, he'll get the title. I decided to go straight to his bank, US bank to cash the check, and get him his title as soon as possible.

I went to the US Bank the the check was drawn on, and was told I had to wait until tomorrow for the funds to be available, (why is this my problem?), and there would be a fee of $5.00, (what?). I came back the next day, and the teller told me again, about the $5.00 fee. I asked her to wave the fee, and she said she couldn't. So I told her the situation, and asked if her manager could wave the fee. He outright refused.

I told all my friends what happened anf they couldn't believe it, why did I have to pay a fee for a check drawn on their bank? The man who bought my car paid me $600, not $595, and he intended to pay me $600, not $595, and US Bank had nothing to do with this deal, so they do not get part of the money!

I guess they are planning for the future, and building a war chest, for the time when they give credit cards to all the illegal aliens, and these people max out the cards, and then head back across the border without paying. If you try to steal from a bank, they will lock you up, but if a bank steals from you, Whoa, it's a whole other story.
