Questionable collection practices Ripoff

My parent's whom I haven't lived with or used their telephone number or address for any financial information in 10 years began recieving messages from this law office about a month ago. The messages, although I haven't heard them personally, say something to the effect that I owe them money and that the home that I own is in danger.

I called the number that was left, and left a message myself, saying I have never heard of them, that they were leaving personal financial information in addition to harassing messages to members of my family. That they had never sent me any bill (they know my address they frequently stated in the messages that my exact address was in danger), and that I would respond once I recieved something in writing.

Of course they have caller ID and call me on my cell phone the next day, I spoke with "Bill", he attempted to tell me that they had no idea that number wasn't my home (once again I've NOT given that number to that or any credit card company), when I asked for proof to be sent in writing to my home he stated that his company "is an attorny's office and they don't do that", and then offered to take a couple of hundred dollars off if I paid in full over the phone (it's not a huge amount that is owed, ~$900). I offered regurally scheduled direct withdrawls if they lowered the bill, he stated that they could possibly do a "review" after payment's were made.

I've done some research, and by law they can not leave such specific messages for my family members (how that got this number I have no idea? Old credit reports?). They also within five days of recieving the account have to send me in writing the debt, where it came from, and where to write if I dispute the claim. They have and had my address, they left it in the messages that were left at my parents home.

What do I do?
