I called Cash Call after seeing a commercial and being in a bind I thought it would be a good way to get some money that I would pay back in a couple of months. I missed a payment by four days (once!) and called them to make a payment over the phone. They told me the only way they could accept payment was if I wired the money to their office in California, which I did, to only find out later that they still withdrew the payment from my checking account the same day that I made the wire transfer. Meaning they got paid twice. This overdrew my account.

When I called to straighten it out, they told me they would send me a refund but it would take 10 days. I never received the refund! Instead I told them to go ahead and apply it to the next month's loan since I had waited almost 4 weeks for the refund. I knew this was unscrupulous so I called for a payoff after only having the loan for 2 months.

The payoff amount ended up being way more than I originally borrowed because of their extremely high interest. Going back to the harrassment portion of my complaint. Remember I said I was late and called and paid to get my account in good standing. However, they continuosly called me for several days after they had received payment being very rude. They claimed the payment had not posted yet.

Finally, after way too many calls I told the rep that they better stop calling me because they received two payments for the month of February and owed me money. Then and only then was when the phone calls stopped. The fine print says 99% interest that accrues daily. A $2600 loan ends up costing you over $6500 that is virtually impossible to pay back.

However, that is what they want. They are legalized loan sharks. They will go in your account at any time to take money out. Money that you will need to feed your family, gas for work, etc. I highly encourage you to look elsewhere if you need a loan. Borrow from friends or family.
