What a night until I reported it to The Comptroller of the Currency ripoff

My loan got sold in January I got a very nice letter stating that ASC had my load and my first payment will be due March 1st to ASC.

All went well for the 1st Month, then the nightmare began. First of all they charge $10.00 to post your payment online, or $10.00 to post over the phone. They also told me that no matter when I sent my check it would take 7-14 days to post.

My bill on april 1st reflected a $279.79 increase in my Mortgage payments! Reason? I did not have hazzard insurance on my house. (I renew it every year on Dec 12) and they were charging my $1992.00 for not having my escrow account up to date. (I never had an escrow account) I always pay my own insurance and taxes.

I reported them to The Comptroller of the Currency.
One week later I got a letter from them stating that my mortgage payment was back to the original amount every month and I need not worry about the escrow charges. Amazing! I previously had at least 20 phone calls to and from them and nobody could do anything about the screw up, but once I complained to The Comptroller of the Currency, they magically were able to fix the problem. Amazing!

I do not trust them, they are a 3rd rate company, their customer support group is a joke, (I got hung up on quite a bit, because I told them where the bear crapped in the buckwheat) I have recently put my house up for sale, because I am sick and tired of the ripoff mortage company, the raising of taxes every year, the raising of the untilites every year. If I got the raises every one of this cities, and towns get every year from We the Home Owners, perhaps then I could afford the American Dream instead of the American Nightmare that I am presently living in!
