Create Wealth the Trump Way - James Smith
Tried to scam me for 6K and 3K for coaching and training respectively. Utah

Business & Finance

On Thursday 26th of April I went to a seminar in San Diego, CA "Create Wealth the Trump Way." I only attended the last 30-45 mins. Of it because by now I'm inured to scams and wanted to see what the bottom line was. James Smith, whom I'd heard before, in another seminar, about a year ago in San Diego also, was giving the same canned patronizing speech. Again he was offering to coach you in real estate for 6K for a year, or train you for 3 days for 3K. Again, he mentioned he was ADD and had trouble reading. I could tell him how to heal from it, and perhaps also be honest.

This, like the previous seminar, was in the context of other speakers: Robert Bluhm, JD, who teaches you how to protect your assets. I regret having wasted 2K on that. Fortunately I didn't buy the notes from David Craig, or he software for stock-trading, which a lot of people did. This time I just got a free book by Donald Trump — "Think Like a Billionare. Everything you need to know about success, real estate and life." Like the seminar, it is a nothing book, on the New York Times bestseller list. Apparently they used Donald Trump Jr., to come and present before I got there.

So, I decided to check all this out before making any decisions and I am very grasteful to you and your bloggers for sharing the information. I would like to give back to those who have shared, some way to recover what they lost. Here are some suggestions:

1) The first thing is call your credit card and dispute the charges. Send a letter documenting what happened and cc the company.

2) Report them to the Better Business Bureau.

3) If you haven't wasted more than $7,500 you can use Small Claims Court and sue them. This is their maximum. I organized a neighborhood to get rid of a drug house and all 19 of us sued the owner for $7,500 each and won. You do not use attorneys, but reading books on this is helpful, also they have a legal - advice hotline at the Vista courthouse in San Diego County.

4) If you can get a group together do a class-action lawsuit. Charles Givens was sued this way and he lost. There is no maximum. The goo thing, others get spared.

5) Whenever you attend one of these seminars pass a sheet around for a "Study Group." This way you can check and see how others are doing, and if need be, sue together.

6) Watch out for any seminars coming out of Utah. It is the equivalent —in the US— of Nairobi. They are scam-factories.

7) NEVER send your profile and SS# to anyone. Identity theft is on the rise. If you send a profile, make it fictitious, see what they come up with and you'll be able to tell who you are dealing with. When they "lose" your profile, like they seem to have done to some of you, no one else will have your data.

8) If you want to learn more about investing start your own groups, with people you can trust. Study different books, get feedback on software, etc. It can be a real study group —personally, or online.

I hope this helps.

God bless you all.
