This is unbelievable. I have it all documented. I am a mortgage broker myself, if that were not the case, I am SURE contrywide would have "stolen" my house last fall. It started in sept. My loan was sold to countrywide. I got a loan number on my new paperwork and proceeded to make my sept, october, and november payments to the loan number I received. I sent in my december payment, two weeks later countrywide sent it back and said I did not have an account with them. I have a rental property so I wondered if I had made a mistake? I checked out everything and I was correct, so I sent them another payment, and they sent it back again (by now it is january).

I called them again and said I have sent you two payments to the exact same account number that you accepted three payments on and now you are not accepting my payments... Whats up? They said I did not have an account there. I asked them what amount of money did they want to get me current. They said I would have to pay for december and january, and oh by the way... You are in foreclosure and will have to pay $3600 in fees! No paperwork, no calls, nothing! I am in foreclosure because they refused to take my money! We fought for the entire year of they refused to take my payments. I was at all times able to give them the monthly payments, but I REFUSED to pay the "foreclosure fees" (in doing so, you are admitting to foreclosure!). So, one week before my house was going to be on the steps, and NO ONE at countrywide would help, I paid the entire thing fees and all. The fees I incured were over 10k, and my credit is CRAP!

I have all the paperwork documented, all phone calls, etc. Now I am going to an attorney to have them correct my credit, and give me back the 10k in fees. I would rather pay the fees to my attorney then to countrywide! The loan amount that was being fought over was 450k and my house is worth 750k. I make almost 200k a year, and have ample ability to pay the mortgage, (if they would just accept it). I asked countrywide why they didnt call me, they said they did. (To a number I had 4 years ago). I told them that when they bought my loan they were given a copy of everything signed in escrow, which included all my CURRENT INFORMATION, why didnt they go to that when they couldnt contact me. They said it wasnt their job to do that.?!? I also was told that the lender they bought the loan from said my loan was a month late when they bought it. This was not true. I asked why they didnt have to pursue that? Why wasnt their a late payment showing in september, and they said they didnt have to pursue that either! Also, when I did get the mess corrected, I asked when they would be mailing me a new bill, and they said they werent sure, as a bill is just a "gift", it is really my responsibility to keep track of everything with or without a bill. (great business practices!)

I am now pursuing a law suit with them. This is truely the nastiest form of business I can imagine. I have a mba, and we never learned this type of "business practices" in grad school.

Countrywide!!! Get a grip! Hire people that know what to do! I HATE talking to five dollar an hour people who do not know their job!!!
