Hi I am writing this to try and help those who are getting screwed over by Afni Inc. And want a letter that they can copy and paste when responding to their blatent extortion attempts. (It will work with other bottom feeder companies as well)

My first step was to contact the Attorney General of my state, and file a consumer complaint form (which is easily downloaded from the AG's web site (believe it or not they do help) After this I sent the following reg mail (make sure to keep the green receipt) to the pricks in Bloomington.

I am writing this letter to dispute the validity of the above referenced debt.in regards to Account Number (place the acct # they claim here)
This is not my account.in order for me to proceed with any payment Option I will require copies of the original documents as well as information concerning my legal obligation to pay this amount, the validity of the debt, the date of the last payment,
The date the contract was to be paid in full and the statute of Limitations status on this account. Once I have received this requested information (and am satisfied that this Debt is indeed mine) I will contact you on the matter within 60 days

You are hereby requested to Cease all efforts at Collection of this account, until you have provided me with these vital documents for my review. I am sending this letter in accordance with the Fair Debt
And Collections Practices Act, Section 809, Titled (1692) "The Validation of Debts".

In Dispute is one or more of the following:

My Legal Obligation to Pay
The Amount of the Debt
The Validity of the Debt
The Date of Last Payment
The Date the Contract was to be paid in Full
The Statute of Limitations Status on the Account

I will also need a Copy of your License to Operate in the State of (your state). All correspondence related to this matter has been saved and will be forwarded to the (your state) State Attorney General's office.

You are welcome to copy and paste this letter for yourself, and remember never contact these pieces of excrement that call themselves human by phone or computer. Let the AG and this letter speak for you. I truly hope that this post helps other's dealing with trash like this. I know it sucks having to pay the postage etc, but better that than giving these bastards one red cent.
