(freecreditreport.com) Failed to provide service, despite multiple requests

After applying for the 30 day free trial, I received my initial information via mail from Triple Advantage. However, upon attempting to access my account online, my username and password continuously failed.

After each attempt, I requested - via the Triple Advantage (freecreditreport.com) website - my user name and password. Oddly, each time the service FAILED to send me the information. Triple Advantage did, however, manage to send me emails telling me of updates and charges (which they continued to place on my credit card) - just not the access information to view this "outstanding" service.

Finally, after multiple months of trying to get the simple log on information (and letting the problem slip on and off the radar), I telephoned to cancel my account. After explaining the issue, the "customer care" representative explained that it was probably my email causing the problem.

Upon informing her that I received EVERY email other than my frequent requests for username and password, she offered me 50% off of my service costs for the next year!?! [I suppose this meant that now, rather than paying $12/month for no service, I could pay $6/month... And still not get the service! What a deal! ]

Bottom line - if you're searching for credit report services, use Equifax. Better yet, the government offers free credit reports once every 12 months.
