Asset Acceptance
Please help! Dont understand what i received in mail!

Today I received a letter from Asset Acceptance, it is suppose to be from the 18th district court in Westland, MI:

At the top it says (default request, affidavit, and entry) I will try to tpye out what it says in short.

[Request and Affidavit]
1.in accordance with court rule, I request the clerk to enter the default of party named above for failure to plead or otherwise defend as provided by law.

{_} 2. The claim against the default party is for the sum certain or for a sum which by computation can be made certain, and the plaintiff request judgement of the amount due from the above party. The amount due and cost are: (When more than one interest rate applies, provide the total interest, the rate and the dates on a seperate sheet of paper.) then directly below that it has damages$ Intrest$ costs$ other$ total$

Their is nothing checked or no doolar amount entered

3. The defaulted party is not an infant or incompetent person.

4.{_} It is unknown wheater the defaulted party is in the miliary (spelled that exact way) service.
{_} The defaulted party is not in the military service.
{_} The defaulted party is in the military but there (woundn't that be spelled [their] if it was a proper court paper) has been notice of pendency of the action and adequate time and opportunity to appear and defend

5.{_} the claim {_}is {_}is not based on a note or other written evidence of indebtedness. If so, the evidence is attfor filing and for cancllation by the court clerk.

Once again their is nothing checked or entered

Then at the bottom their is a spot for the:
1. Appapplicant/attorney signature and bar number, their is no signature or bar number
2. Subscribed and sworn to befor me on date (blank), county (empty), Michigan.
3. My commission expires (date blank) signature of deputy court cleark/notary public (blank)

4. Notary public, State of Michigan, County of (blank)

At the very bottom it does say the default of the party name above for failure to plead or otherwise defend is entered Dec. 19 2006 signed by the court clerk. (but it looks like a stamped signature)

Now I don't think this looks at alllegite, their is no checks in any boxes or anything entered in any spaces. My girlfriend says it looks like mabe that Assect didn't appear in court but at the same time either did I, for onre I was not aware of any date to appear, plus it does not say what the debit is for.

I will be calling the court to find out what this if for and to find out why I was not informed about any date to appear.
Is their anything else I can do. Also if it is a official court document wouldn't it be stamped?
