Reporting false information on my credit reports, and won't validate debt with Sprint

Discovered a old bill on my reports from Sprint dated back in they say, and I have not ever had an account with Sprint. They won't validate the debt because they have no proof, but they won't have it removed from my credit reports. What can I do?
