Lied About Approval dishonest no refund offered no call backs ripoff

I recently applied for a mortgage through first hallmark mortgage corp. I was told by a loan officer there named Eliot Fried that I was approved and to pick out a real estate agent as well as a home. I had a letter from his company stating my approval amount. After finding a home and getting an inspection done as well as getting a lawyer and also an appraisal which he ordered i stopped receiving calls from him. After many calls I was told he is no longer with the company for this kind of thing happening before and that they have no approval for me nor did they ever.

I've since found a new broker who is very helpfull but first hallmark won't even release the appraisal that was done on the property that i paid $300 for, no one from the company will offer any help or any kind of refund. Basically I was told there is nothing they can do. I just want everyone to know to stay away from first hallmark mortgage.
