Ripoff Unauthorized $12.95 monthly charges for nothing!

Like many others. I saw the TV commercial and went to the freecredit report website and signed up for a free 30 day credit report (Aug. 2006). Within a month I called the 1-877 number and canceld my account, and I thought it was over. But 2 months later I realized that I've been charged $12.95/month from my checking account since August. I called FCR again about these charges, but their customer survice people just kept trying to convince me to continue my "subcription". They could not answer my question (they couldn'y even speak English very well). I called them twice, the second time, they offered to give me credit for the last charge, but that was it. I also called my bank (Bank of America), but they said since I couldn't provide a confirmation number for my cancellation, they were unable to file a dispute.

In addition, during the period of time that I've been "subscribed" to their service, I would receive e-mails notifying "changes has been posted to your report", than I'd log-on to my account, it would tell me that I have "no active report", and that "it's time to re-order!", which I'd have to pay them MORE MONEY to re-order! Basically, being "subscribed" to their service after the free 30 trial period does not mean you could have access to your credit report! You'd have to pay EXTRA on top of the $12.95 to have access to your credit report!

This is a total fraud! The 2 customer survice people I spoke to could not give me satisfying answers.

Thousands of people like me have been wrongly charged for service that doesn't even exist! Is there no way to stop this company from scamming more people? I still see their TV add everyday, and everyday it claims more victims!
