I simply applied, online, for a payday loan. And two weeks later there was a charge for 159.95 to my checking account. I was furios until I logged on to rip-off and found that I was not the only person that had experienced such charges with EDP Reporting. I immediatly called the number on the site and spoke to Debbie, the first time, and was transfered to customer service. The young lady I spoke to told me that I had to file a fraud claim with my local police department fax that back to them and the ip that the request had been made from would be investigated and if there was a fraud that took place, my check would be mailed to the police department instead of to me. What kind of sense does that make? My account was debted, therefore my check should be mailed to me. I was very unpleased with this conversation, so I called Debbie back and explained the situation to her. She emailed me a form to sign stating that I would not sue or pursue a chargeback with my bank. I signed the document and email (and faxed) a copy of the document, bank statement, and a copy of the check to her. I am now awaiting my refund.
