LLC Palisades filed civil suit against my wife for discharged AT&T debt

My wife was recently served papers for a civil suit filed by Palisades Collection for an old AT&T bill which was discharged in 2004 after she was declared as disabled and unable to work.

The I am unsure of the original amount, but the suit claims $1182 plus $177 attorney, and any other fees.
They have hired a Texas attorney on their behalf
We know we have to file a response, but are unsure which route to take.

After reading the Federal and Texas State Statutes on collections, we have determined Palisades and their attorney are in violation of several minor points.
Should we use this in our Answer or file for dismissal as advised in another report I read?

This is rather time sensitive since I didn't realize we had to file by Monday, Oct 7.

I'll be happy to post the areas I think they are in violation of if it will help.
