Credit Card Terminal Rip Off ALERT

This rip off company is applying a past due balance to my personal credit for a corporate expense. I signed the "lease" for my previous company as an employer. The company was a registered corporation with its own EIN and Tax number to apply debt too. I understand co-signers/co-makers to loans and leases but never have I heard of corporation folding with it's employees taking the grunt of any of its debt. I had considered filing bankruptcy on the part of the previous company but that would o not good because this item is on my personal credit (and ruining it at that)

I want to make other consumers aware, that this company has some shady business practices that are unheard of in American Business. When a corporation is formed, it is it's own entity. I know new corporations need co-signers if the corporation does not own much, but should an attempt be made to collect from the previous business instead of me? After all the company (even while out of business) owns more items than me, so not only wold it make more business sense for them to approach the previous company, 585 Motorsports INC of Rochester NY... But they might get some of their money back, because I will certainly not be personally responsible for a corporate debt.
