Specialized Loan Servicing LLC, SLS Totally unprofessional, rude, incompentent, confusing, illegal, decpetive, and more RIPOFF!

My mother mortgage was bought by SLS in August 8. Due to hardship, she was one payment behind and was in the process of "making arrangements" to make up to that one month. Next thing she knew, SLS had bought the servicing rights from Hamilton Mortgage (Another crooked company). She one month behind for a while. My mother asked for a payment arrangement for Oct. 2005 and Nov for the amount of $795.00 to catch up which was $1590.00. She never agreed, she told them that she would try... Keep in mind, there was no document of any type and her real estate taxes were behind.

She promptly contacted them by certified return receipt US Mail (Always do it this way when sending this company something by mail!) and requested a different arrangement that would allow her to pay the mortgage and still have money left to pay other pending bills. One representative told her that she could always add and extra payment. So My mother send a total of $350.00 in four payments to catch up.

Then when the monthly statement started rolling in we notice that we had an "suspense account" and researched the definition.

After coming within reach of having a current account, she decided to send a certified letter with payment and asked SLS to release the suspense account of $299.00 and apply it to her payment of $530.02.

SLS said that they didn't do "partial payments." I'm still trying to figure this one out. Here my mother offering them a chance to prove her obligation and they just offered her the same chance to catch up earlier.

Then in late November my sister pitched in $400.00 and my mother sent a payment in twice of $530.02 all within a motnh's span. The "total Amount Due" was between $1056 and $1072... If you add $530.02 $530.02 $400.00 it will give you $1460.00 which is way more than enough to cover the payment. Even with their old website was showing that I had no past payment. I even had to create a new account. To this day, to any resolution as I am writing this letter. Then The strange cars started stopping near my house taking pictures and not leaving information not only on SLS but them also, which makes the environment for my mom very stressfull, mental anguish, and more.

Then she received about to to 10 different "Intent To Foreclose" letters. T which when we make a payment, they go away.

Now it's even worse, my real estate taxes are late because of my hardshi. And I get a letter from the Pasadena, California my taxes are delinquent. But, they didn't have trouble last year.

I get an email from Veronica on 09/04/06 at SLS, telling me I need to contact her (And all of tis time I have unsuccessfully tried to access my mom's account online, I was denied. My mother had sent a payment in on 09/04/06 (Yes, a day earlier via Western Union " Quick Collect" which gets there in five minutes.) and we find out from Western Union that the payment was refused. This is the FIRST time they ever did this! Then we get a fax from them (Which hampered my computer) on 09/11/06 to fill out some form for hardship letter. They requested that all three documents request must accompany the form.
Then on 09/16/06, she receives a letter from and attorney with instructions on how to go about commencing foreclosure for the total indebtness.

This company practically on purpose preys on old people and the minorities.

If any of you out there is interested in getting together and exchanging information and pursuing this injustice of a corrupted and crooked system. It's now time to "Take a Stand."
