Ripoff

I was trying to get a payday loan on-line to buy school clothes and school supplies for my children. I filled out info for the payday loan and was denied. The next day my bank account was debited $139.95 from Platinum Benefit Group. I called to find out what had happened and the "company" said that their application was attached to the payday loan app.

I asked for a refund and received a letter to sign & return. It has been a month of phone calls and getting nowhere. Then last week, the company took another $9.95 out of my account. The company refused me a refund, so I called again yesterday and talked to a supervisor and he said I would not receive any money back.

I dont know how it happened, but this morning my account was credited back the $139.95 from them. I dont know if it was all the phone calls (I called every single day from 8/8/06-9/12/06), but I got my money back.

For anyone else, I called a lawyer and he said to contact a consumer law attorney and I was entitled to 3 times as much as they took plus lawyer fees. I suggest contacting someone, or even calling the company repeatedly, because they DO GIVE REFUNDS, I got one. You can even use my name as an example.
