More lies, fraud and intimidation from Boyajian, but Eliot Spitzer is investigating

In June the Cleburne, AL News did a series of reports on Boyajian after one of its employees received a 100% fraudulent debt claim from Boyajian. After being threatened with a lawsuit, the newspaper agreed to publish a disclaimer from Boyajian in exchange for the lawsuit being dropped.

While it's incredibly disappointing that Jackie was able to intimidate a newspaper, his disclaimer is so amusing I thought I would post the link here. It's interesting to note that Boyajian claims he's "vigorously defending" a lawsuit filed by the West Virginia AG, when he previously claimed on his website that the suit had been dropped. Not to mention the fact that he claims that his Connecticut license application was denied because he "needlessly" sought licensure as a debt collector in CT, after paying CT authorities $18,000 to settle violations of the FDCPA, one violation being that he was in fact never licensed to collect debts there in the first place. So let me get this straight: He didn't need it, but paid the fine because he in fact DID need it. Allrightythen!!!

Now he's got New York AG Eliot Spitzer breathing down his neck for abusive debt collection practices. Spitzer has been extremely successful in nailing Wall Street firms for late trading and market timing, but our boy Jackie has a great defense
