Fraudulant NSF charges, Lack of customer service Ripoff

Wachovia has repeatedly charged me NSF fees for funds that haven't even cleared my account. Not to mention that last week I ran into some problems and had to place a stop payment on one of my checks. There was a $30 fee to do this, which I understand, as all banks charge a fee for this service. However, what doesn't make sense is that they still charged me a NSF fee for the stopped check, and then hit me with a $70 NSF to cover those charges... This is taking advantage!

Also they have charged me today for a $35 NSF fee on funds that are still pending! How can they charge me a fee when the funds haven't even been taken out of my account yet? Of course the funds have been on hold for 3 days and they didn't even hit me with this fee until today immediately after my direct deposit from my job went through... Plus the charges are still on hold! I've been emailing back and forth with their "customer service" reps and they keep trying to pin the problem on me. I found out that Wachovia makes on average about 50% of their profits from these fees. What they are doing is taking advantage of loyal customers, I've been with them for over 6 years. It was amazing to come to this site and find out exactly how many other people they are screwing over too!

One other thing, they hold deposits for a ridiculous amount of time... If I make my deposit on Friday it should show up on Monday right? WRONG. It never posts until Tuesday! I have seen proof that they hold your deposits but let pending transactions clear your account so that they can collect their fees. Not only is this not fair, but it's unethical. I don't see how they have been getting away with it for this long. I'm wondering if there are any class action lawsuits pending against this rotten company.
