Start Up Essentials
Ripoff

Business & Finance

Well Ladies and gentlemen, I guess no matter how you try to not getting scammed; you find that you do get scammed. I also started with startup essentials, and I was intrigued with learning about how to set up my own web site.

I wanted to make a go of it, but, and I'm still with them; but I have my doubts. The Jason who wrote a report on Rip Off, and who worked for start up essentials for 7 months; I believe that I may have talked to him over the phone.

A number of times I wanted to return the lap top, but I don't know who to send it to. I would like some advise on this.

What happened to me was that I changed my bank and bank account after getting with start up essentials. I gave the new bank and bank account to A-1 leasing because I knew that they were going to take out $131.44 out of my account.

About a week later I received a phone call from John Buesche of start up essentials; and he told me that I missed my first payment, and that I was going into default.

I even received an E-mail from him. I told him that I changed my bank and bank account, and that I gave the information to A-1 leasing. I didn't hardly start, and I'm already in default.

I told him that it was not my worry because I gave them the information, and besides if I wanted to cancel, I'll just cancel. He told me that I couldn't cancel because the contract says so.

I told him that according to the contract the company (A-1 leasing) can cancel the contract without giving me any warning. He told me that that wasn't true, but on page 7 of the contract it states that the company can cancel the contract without giving me any warning.

Another thing I noticed is that the contract is difficult to read, and the representative rushes you into signing. I never had time to really read the contract.

In fact I received the lap top computer before the contract was finalized; so I felt already committed. I questioned Start up essentials from the beginning when I started to hear the daily spark by Steve Foss.

He mentions positive thinking, Zig Zigler, and other notable foolishness. I received an E-mail from Steve Foss about what a great opportunity Start up Essentials is, and how God wants me to be successful in money and business.

In the E-mail he quoted many scriptures to verify what he was saying. As a Born Again Christian I was some what offended by this because positive thinking has nothing to do with scriptural principles. I noticed that they don't really help you, but suggest things to you.

I am/was frustrated in trying to work through the system. The CD's that I received I went through some of them. I don't like the pep talk CD's because they lead you into an unreal fantasy world of having money and being successful.

I have tried to set this all up, and now I have doubts about how to do this. I have called Start up essentials several times wanting to quite. All they tell me is not to quite, and because I can't get out of the contract.

I would like to know if there is a way for me to get out of the contract. If the company (A-1 leasing) can break the contract without informing me, why can't I. All contracts can be revoked, its just that most people are to scared to take a stand and say no. Is there anyone out there that can help me.
