Ripoff deceptive and fraudulent practices

Business & Finance

My husband wanted to check out his credit report. He entered the freecreditreport.com website. He signed up for the free 30 day trial. The next day, his account was charged 24.95 for membership. Two days later, he was charged 24.95 again. The website states nowhere that there is an immediate charge of 24.95. I called the company and was told that my husband had been given a refund for 24.95 as a courtesy but they refuse to refund the first 24.95. Beth, a supervisor, told me that we would have to contact their Consumer Relations Group for consideration of a refund. She also told me that my husband was given a discount as a trial member. I strongly advised them to make sure that no other transactions were charged to my husband.
