Ripoff, fraudulent activity, unauthorized billing, deceiving customer service

After reading some previous complaints, I too realize I have been scammed. I wanted to see my credit score and signed on to thise website freecreditreport.com at the reccomendation of a friend. It took 2 1/2 weeks and a phone call before my account was fully activated and I could access it and by then the free trial was almost over. I cancelled my membership in the 30 day free trial, and after 15 minutes of continous declining of any new services, my membership was cancelled. I asked the customer service rep if my credit card would be charged and he said no.

Just the other day, Jan 5, I was looking over credit card statements and found a 12.95 charge from Triple Advantage. I had no idea who it was and looked up the name on google and this consumer complaints site came up and mentioned freecreditreport.com. I started reading the other complaints and realized the company had charged me the day after I cancelled and the customer service rep assured me there would be no charge.

Because I have discovered this on the weekend I am having no luck with either the website or my bank. First thing monday morning my bank and the freecreditreport.com will be hearing from me. I felt it important to report this fraud ASAP because it isn't fair for this company to rip-off people this way.
