Ripoff for debt consolidation loans Soutfield

DO NOT send any money to this company! I was a approved for a $20,000 debt consolidation loan and was required to send them the first 6 payments in advance to secure the loan b/c of my credit. I told the person I was working with that I had no way of sending 6 months worth of payments if I could I wouldn't be looking for a debt consolidation loan. He said he would contact the lender and see what he could do. He called me back that afternoon and said if I could send 3 months worth then they would still be able to do the loan and once the money was in my account I would have to send them the additional 3 months of payments. I went to their website and yeah, it looked great! The contract they sent me and everything looked good. I even talked to my sister who works at a bank and she looked it over and didn't see anything weird about it.

So I told the company that I would send them $1,100 on my next payday, he said for me to call that morning so he could provide me the information I needed in order to wire the funds to them.

I went to a place to wire the money and filled out the forms gave them the money and next thing I knew I was given the phone and the "Money Gram" company did not feel comfortable participating in the wire transfer to Canada, said I needed to contact the FTC, which I did. Before I talked to FTC I spoke with the individual from Southfield and he said he didn't understand why they would do the wire transfer and said that it is none of their (money gram) business as to why I was sending the money to Canada. He suggested I go to western union... I asked how long he had worked for this company he said 3 years. He sounded so convincing and had an ease in his voice. Well after contacting the FTC, AG for Kansas and then on to the AG for Michigan I came to find out that this company was not ligit and they have been receiving a lot of calls with this specific company. I was fortunate that I did not lose any money, PLEASE DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY!!
