Firstline Financial
Took my money, and now they have a bogus numbe

Business & Finance

On May 17 I received a call from Matthew Harvey at Firstline Financial. He said I was approved for a debt consolidation loan of $20,000. I received the loan agreement via fax from him.in part of the agreement it stated that I would first need to send 5 months worth of payments to secure the loan as collateral. I thought about it and said that I would get back to him, since if I had that kind of money I wouldn't need a loan to begin with. But, I was desperate (Aren't we all).

I phoned him back the next day and said that I had the money, which I borrowed from a family member because I figured I would get the loan and pay my mom back when I did. So I got all the wire transfer money from him. He gave me the option to mail the money or I could mail it. I figured wire it, since he said once they received it, the next day my money would be deposited. I also gave him my bank information (which I know now was a mistake).

So, Monday, May 21, I phoned him and told him I would wire the money over. I did, which I payed $38 to do. He mentioned to me that I would be reimbursed that fee when my loan came through. I phoned him later that same day to make sure that they had in fact received the money, which he confiremd they did. He said congratulations, and I will have my money the next day, Tuesday, May 22.

Come Tuesday, I receive a phone call at 11:15 California time, which is 2:15 NY time. They had all morning to contact me, but wait until late afternoon. I spoke to a Ron Wilson, and he mentioned that the underwriters on the loan were asking for more collateral, another $1900. This would give them $3800 total. Now come on, if I had THAT kind of money, I would definetely NOT need the loan. He said I could do that or they could issue me a refund. I told him I wanted a refund. He did not give me a date as to when I would receive the money, he said they would send out a refund.

Three weeks later and no money. He proceeded to mention that I signed the contract, and that a check would go out on their next pay cycle (which he did not tell me). I said this was NOT fair, and that JACKASS Matthew Harvey told me I would have my money the next day. He said CONGRATULATIONS...

So, to date I am left with no loan and no refund, and no way to now contact the company except by fax. Their phone line does not answer, and gives you no options. I have left several messages, prior to their phone line being out, and no one ever returned my call. I even sent Matthew Harvey messages on his phone, and the pansy ass never returned my call. I have reported them to the BBB, and feel I get the run around from them also.

If anybody has any suggestions, I would truly appreciate it. I just want my money back so that I can pay my mom back. If you can help, please help. Thank you for reading.
