Keybank
"Key To Your Wallet Bank" ripoff of 12 days of interest owed on substantial savings and other shameful acts

Business & Finance

Ripoff of 12 days of interest owed to me (approx $60) on substantial savings. Dublin, OH Keybank (Frantz Rd) told me they are not required to pay interest on accounts they held for half the month and closed between statement periods. Would this be true? If you have an interest bearing account, I would think they are liable for any time they hold your account.

They want every penny for every minute you have their money whether you pay off early or not.

Other shameful acts - they paid me no interest during 2004 for that same substantial savings acct, though on the statement it listed "interest earned this period $xx. Xx", it was not added to the balance and they did not send me a 1099 tax form for that year. When I confronted them, they tried to blow it off by saying it would be so small, hardly worth the trouble. They owed me $651.

Also in late one of my statements included another customer's business and personal accounts pages intermingled with my pages like a deck of cards. Of course that included all the other customer's acct numbers and each transaction.

There are more bad business practices, for one, you have to change ACCOUNT NAMES every whip stitch, not necessarily acct number to keep a decent interest rate or your interest rate dwindles down to nothing, even as the FED rate has been increasing for years now.
