Major ripoff! Promise of credit card is bogus! Ripoff

When I first got a "pre-approved acceptence certificate" from these guys, something in the back of my head was telling me that it was too good to be true. But, I have bad credit and was desperate, so I sent away for it anyway. It cost $45 to have it processed ($49 for rush processing, which I foolishly paid for). But hey, it had a "no questions asked, money back guarantee", so I thought I had nothing to lose.

This "company" offered a "platinum card" with a $5,000 credit limit. Well, I just got it in the mail today, and boy did I ever "get it". A big bulky package with the generic looking card, along with all kinds of forms and a huge catalog full of useless JUNK that you can buy from them.

But it gets better. The card they send you is ONLY good for THEIR products. And they sell exactly what I DON'T want. Little statues, cheap things to decorate your house with, jewelry, etc., all useless CRAP.

I tried going into their "exclusive" web site with my card. When you try to log in, it instructs you to input your card number and full name to enter. Well, I tried entering the information numerous ways, and neither worked. So, I was S.O.L.in that department.

I looked for a phone number to call them to demand my $49 back, and wouldn't you know it? It's NOT a toll free number. If I call them, I have to pay a long distance charge to Florida. How convienent.

I haven't called them yet, simply because I don't wish to call long distance, but I will if I ultimately have to. That's why I'm here. I'm hoping I can report these scum bags and help get them out of business.

So, if you're still reading this, heed warning: if you recieve anything in the mail from People's Credit First, RIP IT UP AND THROW IT AWAY IMMEDIATLEY! Otherwise, you'll suffer the same rip off that me and countless others (I'm sure) have recieved.
