Ripoff Claimed to pay off 2 debts, promised to pay another no proof anything was paid

We signed up with Risk Management in 2002. They are one of the few debt relief companies that take medical and collection bills as well as credit card bills. They did claim to pay off two bills fairly quickly, one medical and one credit card. The medical is now listed in collections and I have no way of proving that it has been paid.

Currently, we are facing a court hearing on one of the credit card bills. We had avoided this the end of last year by making payment arraingements with the lawyer, but a job change and reduction in pay made it impossible to keep up the payments. We are now facing court again. I will add that we were told that we had enough money in our account with RMP to cover this bill and that it would be paid. It never has been.

I have tried to talked to someone... Anyone there for the past 3 months. Today I found their creditor phone line has been disconnected and for some reason I cannot get through on the 888 number listed above. Their fax number also does not connect. I have tried to send a letter stating that we want to disolve the agreement with them and want a refund, including proof that the debts they claim to have paid have been paid. It looks like they have closed up shop and left us high and dry.
