Merchants' Credit Guide Company, CFB Financial III, Bogus Debt Collection, Obvious scam rip-off, Only a fool believes this

I collect my mail from the mailbox and this letter just sticks out like a sore thumb! The mail stamp is obviously fake looking "mailed from zip code 11787" presort.

Then I open it and the letterhead is even more bogus! The date is January 6 and the letter is dated 12/29/05. They are trying to collect a $3,471.72 debt that I recognize right away, as an old debt from the 1980's that was written off by Citibank.

As I read down they list 3 options for payment: (1) a one-time payment of 50% of debt, paid in full, or (2) three equal payments equivalent to 70% of the debt (within 90 days), or (3)
monthly payments of any amount you choose, could be 1 cent or $20.00, whatever, for the rest of your life basically.

O.K. What's wrong with this picture? I'm no rocket scientist but this just brags of incompetent, street dumb, punk *&*&, con-artists.

Then the privacy notice is so blatantly illegal I begin to laugh my butt off. Out loud laughing, tears in my eyes, hysterical.

Now, I realize this is a scam, but if my mother were to be mailed this notice, she would automatically pay it without researching it. Mind you, she doesn't have a pot to pee in.

How many other elderly people have been taken in by these &*&*? I'm sending this letter to the Attorney General of PA, my congressmen, the FTC, the FBI, United States Post Office General, the AG, and any other office I come up with to stop these guys.

I just called the number on the letter and let them have a piece of my mind, and the black man just kept laughing. He knew I was onto him and he also knows that nothing can stop him.

It sounds as if the government hasn't acted fast enough to put these guys in jail. I don't know when this TV bit was done, and I'd like to find out, If someone responds to this, but this is no laughing matter. This is serious and a law needs to be created to stop cretins like this. There must be others doing the same kind of crap.

Somebody please give me the low down on these guys. What action has been taken so far. And how can I help! I have a great lawyer!

These punks gotta pay.
